Description

The Business Solution Consultant works with functional managers as well as senior management to clearly understand the requirements and objectives for the Abas ERP implementation. This includes understanding their overall Production & Logistics requirements as well as their Financial Process & Reporting requirements. The Business Solution Consultant is responsible for consulting existing and new customers on how to best utilize abas ERP with the customers business operations, including sub-project management for a selected functional area.
 

Responsibilities

• Technical expert for a functional area: manufacturing (Make-to-order, Make-to-stock, Engineer-to-order), supply chain (incl. post-calculation and evaluation), BPM/workflow, EDI; or for an industry: automotive supplier
• Analysis and consulting of business processes at customer site; technical management of the customer within the respective specialist area as part of the change process
• Identification and active positioning of industry-specific best practices
• Conception of an integrated business process and ERP solution design, as close as possible to the abas product standard; conception of functional enhancements where necessary.
• Realization and design of configurations or small adjustments in the ERP implementation phase
• Ensuring integrity of developed customizations
• Preparing the line organization for go-live and supporting the go-live of the new processes and solutions
• Working closely with the rest of the project team and reporting to the project manager
• Processing of tenders and preparation of offers for the implementation of Abas ERP 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Operations Management, or Engineering perferred or relevant professional experience
• Minimum 3 years experience as ERP Consultant or 5 years experience as ERP Key-User in manufacturing 
• Understanding of manufacturing practices and methodologies
• Willingness to travel (20%)
• Strong communication skills, high customer orientation and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
