Purpose and Scope:
We are seeking a Group Product Manager to establish portfolio level product strategies, roadmaps, and OKRs, guide product success and execution across 5+ delivery teams, and functionally manage the PO/PMs and Business Analysts who support those teams. The successful Group Product manager will support our work with our customer and steer the team towards meeting the customers’ goals and objectives and delivering value to our end users.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop portfolio-level roadmaps (12 months +) and leads product definition & prioritization at the portfolio/program roadmap level based on programmatic goals and objectives, user pain-points, and innovative concepts; defines program epics that drive overarching program goals and enable the program's vision
- Develop and communicates program or portfolio level product strategy, encompassing multiple products and aligning it with organizational goals
- Drives innovation by developing expertise in and hypothesizing on technical aspects of the portfolio; Leads cross-functional brainstorming sessions with the team to define innovative solutions
- Embrace an iterative and adaptive approach to product development, where the strategy is continuously refined based on user feedback, performance metrics, and changing business needs
- Proactively advocates for users and shapes product discussions and requirements around key problems to be solved
- Translate the high-level product strategy into actionable guidance that supports the PO/PMs in feature definition and prioritization decisions at the product/team level
- Ensure successful delivery at the portfolio level against PI or quarterly objectives and proactively facilitate cross-team collaboration, dependencies, and communication to meet delivery goals and ensures the team is prepared for Quarterly or PI planning events
- Advise the program on how to apply Agile best practices given the context, constraints, and opportunities of the program
- Lead the team in establishing meaningful OKRs and PI/Quarterly objectives to measure and validate success against product goals; Drive continuous improvement by utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to identify areas of opportunity for both process and product improvements
- Build and manage relationships with senior leaders and external partners, ensuring alignment and support for product initiatives across the portfolio; Effectively manage conflicts and blockers between stakeholders or between teams and stakeholders
- Seek out opportunities to reduce burden for the client by providing clear recommendations, driving clarity in areas of ambiguity, and improving stakeholder management processes
- Drive collaboration and alignment across multiple product teams and stakeholders to achieve overarching organizational objectives; Proactively establish processes and guidelines that improve collaboration across the program
- Manage, coach, and empower a team of product owners/product managers, fostering a culture excellence across the group
Requirements
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- 10+ Years of experience in product management and end-to-end Agile product delivery in the government or commercial healthcare industry
- 3+ Years experience managing other Product Owners/Managers within a software development environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the product management/product discipline
- Strong understanding of Agile practices and outcomes and is capable of interpreting, applying, and augmenting Agile best practices as necessary to drive positive outcomes for the program
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical personnel; Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including outside consultants and vendors and influence others without formal authority.?
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous and time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated leadership effectiveness engaging delivery teams, customers, and other stakeholders to support business objectives and develop overall product management capability (people, process, product)
- Expertise in JIRA/Confluence, Mural, and Lucidchart
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.?
