JOB SUMMARY
This job supports the company’s reporting governance, project management, and strategic planning process, including the assessment of invoicing, reconciling, and partnerships with our off-shore teams. The incumbent will provide technical, analytical, and administrative support to the department and senior executives for the purpose of promoting informed strategy discussions. Responsibilities include analyzing large amounts of data and being able to effectively communicate the results and path forward.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Display effective communication skills.
- Coordinate with other departments, locations, and divisions.
- Communicate with other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.
- Communicate with Management at Highmark, subsidiaries, affiliates, other third parties, etc. as to project status and completion deadlines.
- Advise management of expected outcomes and recommending ways to improve the outcomes.
- Analyze and evaluate pertinent data and advise management of implications for enGen.
- Complete project work as assigned.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor basic project plans and deliverables.
- Liaison with various business units as determined by manager for specific projects.
- Resolve problems including identifying and recommending creative solutions.
- Conduct presentation to all levels of management in order to provide a summary of analysis regarding results and trends.
- Perform financial and business-related analysis.
- Develop and/or document business policies.
- Independently pursue fundamental problem solving and documents the recommendations to management.
- Lead and document financial analysis projects including the preparation of ad hoc reports; to include but not limited to; gathering of data, analysis, documentation of findings, and calculation of results and generation of reports for distribution.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of continual process improvements to the planning process.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE
Required
- 2 years of experience in a Business or Business Research-related role, with experience in advanced use of the web, research databases, and literature searches to synthesize data and conduct analysis
Preferred
- Advanced level computer skills, including Internet navigation, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat
SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time-management skills to effectively complete ongoing projects in balance with daily responsibilities
- Integrity in the discreet handling of confidential information and professionalism in responding to "customers" of the area
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, provide recommendations and effectively communicate updates
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Solid research, analytical, critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Broad range of general business knowledge and experience
- Ability to work independently and develop analytical assessments of strategic issues of importance to the company and its future direction
