As the Experienced Submarine Sustainment Analyst, you will be a part of Team Submarine located in Washington, D.C., where you will provide technical support covering a wide variety of Team Submarine logistics issues, including overall supply chain support for obsolescence resolution. As part of this dynamic team, you will be expected to bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

Serco supports the US Navy Team Submarine contract by supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and desk guides in support of obsolescence management and logistic considerations in program planning and documentation.

  • Perform research on Fleet submarine material issues to include cannibalizations, material shortages, repair, and production sources.
  • Support of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) subsystems, equipment, and components on in-service fast attack submarines through coordination with the associated In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and ISEA Managers.
  • Coordinate Integrated Product Team (IPT) and stakeholder meetings to identify and resolve submarine platform sustainment issues, record meeting minutes, provide briefing materials, and track action items/milestones.
  • Interface with a large array of stakeholders, as a representative of the in-service attack submarine program office, communicating needs and tracking tasks to completion. Stakeholders include NAVSUP, DLA, NAVSEA Warfare Centers, Technical Support Activity (TSA), shipyards, vendors, and program offices.
  • Support program office efforts, administer various programs, and perform associated administrative actions, as needed.
  • Support and Execute Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to sustain and maintain systems within the cognizance of the in-service attack submarine program office.
