Job Description

The Enterprise Analytics and Modeling - Risk Management – Associate will join the Model Governance Solutions (MGS) team. The MGS team has responsibility to drive efficiency, consistency, compliance, and sustainability in first-line model governance activities across the enterprise, and has the following three strategic objectives:

  • Driving efficiencies in model management by developing clear and actionable governance, integrating relevant external guidance, and developing tools that simplify processes.
  • Ensuring risk-based execution and compliance of all internal model-related standards and policies by training, reporting, and monitoring applicable processes.
  • Acting as a representative with Model Risk Management and other relevant stakeholders on behalf of Model Owners, Users, Developers, and Application Owners.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Enterprise Analytics and Modeling - Risk Management - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Execute on tactical elements of governance compliance for emerging practice areas, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Work with team management to support closure of model governance-related critical supervisory matters, matters requiring attention, management self-identified, and all other issues.
  • Perform review of model governance requirements, including documentation, to ensure applicable requirements are met.
  • Identify, scope, and execute on process improvements.
  • Facilitate information requests and related reporting activities across various stakeholders.
  • Assist team with determining business areas that pose potential model risks to the enterprise.  
  • Maintain information and processes to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.  
  • Document resolutions and control guidelines.  
  • Partner with the team to carry out business strategies that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations. 

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Desired Experiences  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant model development, controls, or risk management or governance experience 
  • Track record of execution focus, strong prioritization, and planning capabilities
  • Relationship management skills to partner with team members and stakeholders as needed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex processes in business terms.

Skills

  • Ability to identify, make recommendations, and implement process improvements in day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to work independently, but also comfortable working and contributing within a team environment.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and ever evolving environment.
  • Python or other coding language skills preferred.
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data.
  • General Business Insight skills like interpreting customer and data insights.
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.
  • Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help with computer software to communicate ideas.
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
  • Governance and Compliance skills including creating policies, evaluating compliance, conducting internal investigations, developing data governance, etc.
  • Relationship Management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
