Physical Therapy Aide

Join our team as a Physical Therapy Aide to support the development and implementation of sensory integration and motor activities for program participants. Work with Exercise/Physical Therapists to enhance fine and gross motor skills while promoting personal growth and goal achievement.
Pay: $21.50

Responsibilities
- Implement sensory integration, fine motor, gross motor, and activities of daily living as directed by Therapists and Program Managers.
- Collaborate with the therapeutic team to design and execute individualized and group-based activities tailored to participant needs.
- Assist in the development and follow-up of Day Habilitation Support Plans (DHSP), including attending case conferences.
- Provide assistance with personal care activities including dining, toileting, and transfers as needed.
- Support the implementation of behavior management strategies in coordination with the clinical team.
- Serve as a role model and provide staff training in therapeutic approaches.
- Foster a respectful, dignified, and culturally appropriate environment for individuals.
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, collaborating with parents, guardians, and other professionals.
- Maintain an inventory of therapeutic materials and recommend appropriate purchases.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma with 2 years of relevant experience accepted
- 1–3 years of related experience
- Standard Driver’s License (Class C or D)
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- Previous experience with gross motor training is preferred
