Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
The Project Senior Accountant will be responsible for the financial aspects of ongoing construction and maintenance projects for the Seven Seas Water Division. The position will be in our Tampa, FL office and reports directly through the CFO organization with a dotted line to the Engineering organization. The responsibilities include:
· Monitor and track capital project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts.
· Prepare and analyze monthly project financial reports, including variance analyses and performance metrics.
· Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure appropriate cost coding and alignment with budgets.
· Reconcile project expenditures against contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
· Ensure timely and accurate capitalization of assets or reporting metrics in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.
· Support internal and external audits related to capital projects and fixed assets.
· Assist in the preparation of cash flow projections and funding requirements for ongoing projects.
· Utilize ERP system to maintain accurate records of project-related financial documentation, including invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation.
· Provide regular updates to management on project accounting for ongoing projects and any relevant information for newly entered contracts.
· Identify and escalate project cost overruns or risks,
