Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift - Exton, PA

 

The Production Supervisor will assure that dsm-firmenich products are of consistent and high quality by supervisor assigned areas in compliance with Safety, Health & Environment as well as quality system requirements to achieve customer quality and service expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily supervision in a Clean Room environment, maintaining a safe, productive and cooperative environment
• Troubleshoot tooling/process problems that occur during daily production activities and correct or recommend changes as necessary
• Manage Shop Orders and supporting paperwork for accuracy and completeness
• Provide assistance as needed to perform system transactions involving material, labor and order completion
• Coordinate job, safety, and GMP training for production personnel as required
• Act in accordance with Quality System/GMP and safety requirements, providing feedback to management regarding areas of non- compliance
• Utilize system reports to review schedules/CEA WIP inventory to ensure that the production schedule is maintained; and to investigate and report on causes of shop order variances
• Evaluate production operations for improved productivity and cost-efficiency
• Preform planning for all production, R&D, and maintenance events occurring in designated areas to ensure that production schedules, customer requests and department goals are met
• Complete NCR’s, Deviations, Corrective Actions, and ECN’s to record and control production events accurately

You Bring:

• Associate or Bachelors' degree in science or engineering discipline or equivalent training and experience required

• 3+ years' experience working in a heavily regulated production role with progressive responsibilities
• Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• People management/supervisory experience preferred
• Good communications skills, understanding of engineering concepts, proven supervisory and management skills, computer literacy
