Coach/Mentor - Independent Living

📍Based out of the Company's Orange County branch office
🕒 Part-Time and Full-Time|🧠 Supported Living / Social Services

• $21.50 per hour - Experience in ILS or SLS preferred, but we will train those who show the drive and passion to learn new skills.
• Flexible scheduling – build your weekly schedule around the availability of the individuals assigned to you.

• Coach individuals in functional life skills that strengthen their independence. (e.g., cooking, managing medical appointments, budgeting, hygiene)
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Help plan, create, and organize ways to meet their ISP goals.  
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
• Communicate and coordinate with the Regional Center and the individuals' Circle of Support on progress, concerns, and scheduling required quarterly meetings.
• Spend 90% of your time in the field with clients and 10% on admin/documentation.

• Passionate about helping others and believe in treating people with dignity and respect.
• Strong communicators, adaptable, dependable, and creative problem-solvers.
• Continuously advocate for their clients and their rights.
• Are comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings in the client's home or out in the community.
• Enjoy being out in the community, and are okay with driving from client to client.
• Have behavioral health experience (preferred, not required)

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Able to work in the Orange County area
• Able to pass a background check (per state industry standards)
• Computer literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry
