Position Summary
The Market Development Manager – Bariatrics (MDM) will report directly to the Director of Market Development. This individual will be responsible for driving the evaluation and eventual adoption of the Titan SGS nationally. This individual will work with the Director of Market Development, Bariatrics and collaborate closely with the National Sales Directors and Regional Managers to drive new opportunities into the pipeline. The MDM will also play a primary role in the development of strategic markets. In addition, the MDM will assist in the development and education of our sales reps and sales managers by working in the field with reps and managers in markets approved by the NSDs and the VP of sales. The MDM will participate in new hire training and will participate in regional calls. The MDM will attend and support National Shows and meetings where appropriate. If needed and if qualified the MDM will proctor new surgeons and observe reps in their support of Titan and provide feedback to sales leadership.
Principal Responsibilities
• In collaboration with the NSD and RSMs, work with the sales team in the field to identify, qualify, and engage with new opportunities for Titan SGS. These visits will be vetted with the RSMs to make sure the sales rep has the right targets for an effective field visit.
• Provide feedback to sales leadership on the observations of the sellers worked with in the field, focusing on the development needs of those individuals.
• In collaboration with the NSD and RSMs, conduct follow up field visits with sales reps to assess the development of their opportunities and their development selling Titan SGS.
• Participate in Regional Calls and training calls where needed to support the development of our sellers.
• Participate in New Hire training Classes to support the education and training of Titan and Bariatric procedures.
• Partner with marketing on specific projects to provide insight and market knowledge when needed.
• Conduct Proctoring and Clinical Support for Titan cases once qualified and approved.
• Provide additional support, training, and assessment to the new Clinical reps that are added.
• In collaboration with Clinical Medical Affairs & sales leadership, prioritize/support/manage professional educational opportunities (such as resident/fellows training programs, CME credit courses, etc.) designed to expand our brand awareness with an effective ROI.
• In collaboration with CMA and marketing, support the development of KOL’s.
• Attend and exhibit at national or regional conventions/tradeshows.
• Create key surgical society partnerships (ex. SAGES, ASMBS.) to enhance our presence.
• Provide consistent and relevant written and verbal communication to SBU leadership, sales leadership, marketing, and core business partners.
• Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, marketing operating principles, and all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice president of Sales.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in MIS surgical specialties with comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required for specific multi-specialty procedur
