JOB SUMMARY:
The Food Service Supervisor oversees various food service areas (sandwich stand, salad bar, grill, hot foods, and tray line) to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's mission and values. They manage services, identify growth opportunities, and implement business practices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Two years of supervisory experience required
• Associate's degree preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATION:

• Serv Safe certification required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Manages daily operations, ensuring staff have the necessary equipment, inventory, and resources to meet goals and deadlines.
2. Assists with cash controls and payroll functions.
3. Identifies and addresses potential problems, reporting to leadership as needed.
4. Supervises daily work activities, prioritizing tasks and monitoring standards.
5. Provides feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct, and motivate.
6. Ensures compliance with regulations and hospital policies.
7. Establishes a safe work environment through safety training and equipment maintenance.
8. Implements and communicates quality improvements and operating standards.
9. Maintains employee relationships and satisfaction in food service areas, ensuring regulatory compliance.
10. Ensures high service quality and delivery.
11. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.
