Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. AST is seeking a <b>Sr. Principal DevOps Architect</b> to join our team. </p><p></p><p>This is a<b> REMOTE</b> role at <b>Applied Signal Technology</b> (AST).   To learn more about AST, click the following link &gt;&gt; <a href="https://www.rtx.com/collinsaerospace/what-we-do/industries/military-and-defense/communications/applied-signal-technology" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Who We Are</a></p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with Cyber teams to maintain and monitor system availability, performance, and logs using enterprise tools. </p></li><li><p>Leverage industry standards to build out automation workflows</p></li><li><p>Travel up to 10% (domestic) to other RTX locations</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications You Must Have: </b></p><ul><li><p>Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.</p></li><li><p>Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.</p></li><li><p>Experience integrating and maintaining DevSecOps process using the following tools or similar: Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Gitlab, Cloudbees CI (Jenkins), JFrog Artifactory</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of successfully implementing in-process automated testing to the CI/CD pipeline</p></li><li><p>Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Helm</p></li><li><p>Strong foundation in Agile software development</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with compliance with key U.S. government cybersecurity regulations and standards such as NIST 800-171, FIPS, and DFARS</p></li><li><p>Cross-platform development, focusing on RHEL (CentOS / Rocky) 8+ and Windows</p></li><li><p>Experience with artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus, Pulp), supply chain security scanning (JFrog Xray), and secrets management</p></li><li><p>Skilled in cloud deployment, virtualization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation using Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks</p></li><li><p>Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Groovy, and Ruby</p></li><li><p>Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with engineers and leadership at every level</p></li><li><p>Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams</p></li><li><p>Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required after start.</p></li><li><p>U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications We Prefer:</b></p><ul><li><p>Linux OS Certificate (RHCSA / LPIC)</p></li><li><p>Experience with Splunk/Zabbix</p></li><li><p>Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) Environments</p></li><li><p>Scripting Experience (Bash, Python, Ansible) and Kickstart</p></li><li><p>Hold professional certifications with a background in managing enterprise-grade virtualization and cloud infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Experience leading and developing junior software engineers</p></li><li><p>Experience interpreting Standards</p></li><li><p>Experience working with bit-level data</p></li>
