Description Overview
This position is responsible for managing Perrigo operations leads and MSP. The Director of Infrastructure Operations will work closely with operations lead and MSP to ensure seamless support of all global Infrastructure, desktop/laptop support, supporting the company's strategic goals.
Scope of the Role
Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:
- Oversee all IT operations, including network support, wifi support, on prem and cloud data centers support, Desktop support, print support, SCCM support and technical support
- Manage MSP provider
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices
- Manage and lead the IT Operations team
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of IT services
- Plan and manage budgets related to IT operations
- Evaluate technology risks and develop a disaster recovery plan
- Provide guidance and leadership to the IT department
- Continually evaluate current company technology and recommend changes as necessary
- Develop and implement best practices for Infrastructure architecture, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity
- Identify opportunities to optimize applications rationalization solutions and reduce costs
Technology and Tools Management:
- Apply and promote the use of TAG, SLA’S,KPI’S
- ITIL
- Develop a phased approach to Infrastructure refreshes that minimizes risk and maximizes efficiency
- Stays abreast of emerging technologies, changes in the industry and vendor landscape by researching publications, attending conferences, and participating in advisory boards
Project Leadership:
- Drive and guide technical decision-making on Infrastructure architecture from project transitions to operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to operationalize the new technology
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes for all Infrastructure refreshes
Compliance:
- Contribute to and enforce governance policies and procedures to ensure integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure Infrastructure operational processes to meet Perrigo standards
- Review and approve technology projects and initiatives to ensure that they comply with operational standards and best practices
Team Leadership and Development:
- Help drive excellence across all aspects of Perrigo’s architecture work by building operational deliverables, sharing knowledge and skills, and enforcing best practices for Infrastructure
- Establish and enforce technology and AI governance policies and procedures to ensure that the Perrigo technology investments are aligned with its strategic objectives
- Mentor and guide a team of different architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the architecture team
Experience Required
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Cisco, Azure, Data Centers, Server, Storage, Network, Wifi including the ability to produce and maintain standards and diagrams
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects. Demonstrated expertise in practically applying existing, new and emerging technologies to current, new and evolving business needs in support of business strategy
- Familiarity with system development life cycle management, IT services management, IT infrastructure and operations, and IT Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and COBIT
- Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure platforms
- Strong knowledge of business and technology ecosystems, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and systems integration concepts
