Responsible for acquiring, servicing and growing relationships with businesses that typically have annual gross sales up to $10 Million. Work proactively with new businesses, structuring and closing of commercial loans, as well as related depository relationships, maintaining and serving a commercial loan portfolio. Accountable for the identification of risk inherent in loan transactions, loan portfolio and communication of that knowledge and experience. Examine, evaluate and authorize, or recommend approval of, customer applications for lines of credit, commercial loans and commercial real estate loans. Ensure compliance with all consumer regulations related to the job function. Adhere to regulatory changes, compliance issues and bank policy and procedure.

Essential Functions / Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a commercial lender
- Credit analysis knowledge and experience
- Interview applicants to determine loan requirements and gather pertinent information for application.
- Develop new commercial loan and deposit relationships through ongoing networking including client meetings, attending community events, and calling on centers of influence.
- Prepare financing proposals for client review, consistent with the Bank’s credit risk tolerance
- Assist in the origination of new deposit accounts and treasury management services
- Work with manager and lending team to evaluate credit requests and recommend appropriate loan structure to manage risk
- Work with the Business Services Team to best utilize digital capabilities
- Establish, negotiate and approve loans within specified limits or refer them to loan committee for approval while maximizing profitability and minimizing risk
- Achieve sales goals as detailed in annual review
- Responsible for a portfolio of existing commercial loan and deposit customers
- Implement, execute and monitor business services sales plan as assigned
- Work with team to ensures timely loan closing and loan funding
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four year college or university, and 2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodical, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, policy and procedures, as necessary.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
