The System Marketing Brand Manager communicates to both physician and consumer audiences as a member of the Specialty Care Marketing team and supports the achievement of strategic marketing objectives through the development and execution of effective marketing strategies and brand plans.

The System Marketing Brand Manager will have the opportunity to work on a variety of service line and system priorities, as deemed appropriate.

Key activities:

  • Develops and implements service line marketing strategy and effective brand plans to achieve system and business unit short and long-term patient acquisition growth goals
  • Leads the collaborative approach to developing and executing marketing initiatives, where input and expertise from various cross-functional teams are leveraged to achieve shared objectives 
  • Directs the creation of omni-channel marketing campaigns through agency collaboration, creative development and design to effectively represent specialty care services to target audiences (consumers and physicians)
  • Monitors, interprets and reports performance data, along with competitive market insights and trends; identifying opportunities to refine the brand plan and optimize marketing campaigns to achieve brand measures of success.
  • Represents the voice of the customer and seeks insights through research; applies audience segmentation to marketing campaigns, collateral development and other tactics. 
  • Supports internal and external content creation and identifies opportunities to amplify messaging through social media, public relations, physician liaisons and more

The ideal candidate is proficient and has proven experience working across functions to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and plans in a matrix environment that achieve organization goals. The candidate should be a self-starter, critical thinker, highly organized, resourceful and a strong communicator and collaborator, with keen attention to detail, the ability to manage projects with sound methodologies and the desire to pursue a career in healthcare marketing for a mission-driven organization. Experience in physician marketing and marketing support of a sales or physician liaison team is a preferred. 

The marketing, experience and communication organization at IU Health is comprised of many different teams and focus areas, including system and service line marketing, regional marketing, digital marketing, patient experience, research and analytics, social media, internal and corporate communications, and public relations, which offers many unique opportunities to develop both personally and professionally.

Required experience should include:

  • Bachelors Degree Required. Masters Optional.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience – preference toward degrees in Marketing, Business, Sales, Journalism, or healthcare-related field preferred 
  • Healthcare related industry experience, specifically, marketing to health care marketing professionals (HCPs) or physicians marketing and direct to consumer marketing.
  • Building and executing upon paid, owned and earned media campaigns
  • Marketing strategy and planning, digital marketing and advertising agency management
  • Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment 
  • Experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions.
