About the role

Newmark Title Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to manage commercial and residential real estate transactions from contract execution through closing. The ideal candidate will coordinate all aspects of the escrow process, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and provide exceptional service to clients, lenders, attorneys, brokers, and other transaction parties. Escrow Officers oversee the preparation of closing documents, manage escrow accounts, coordinate funding, and facilitate successful closings while maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Essential Job Duties

  • Open, manage, and close escrow files in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Review purchase contracts, title commitments, lender instructions, and closing documents.
  • Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, and underwriters throughout the transaction.
  • Prepare and review settlement statements, closing disclosures, and escrow instructions.
  • Obtain and clear title requirements, payoffs, and other closing conditions.
  • Conduct closings and explain closing documents to transaction parties.
  • Receive, balance, and disburse escrow funds accurately and timely.
  • Ensure proper recording of documents and issuance of title policies following closing.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Resolve closing issues and facilitate timely transaction completion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of escrow, title, or real estate closing experience.
  • Strong understanding of title insurance, escrow procedures, real estate contracts, and closing requirements.
  • Experience reviewing title commitments and clearing title objections.
  • Proficiency with title and escrow software platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of state and federal compliance requirements related to escrow transactions.
  • Texas Escrow Officer License preferred (if applicable).

Preferred Skills

  • Commercial real estate transaction experience.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience handling multi-state transactions.
