We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on - 4 December 2025.We’re seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager to join our Distribution Automation team, which is focused on delivering next-generation automation solutions across a global distribution network. In this individual contributor role, you’ll serve as a cross-functional leader, guiding complex development initiatives from concept to execution.
You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of automation solutions, contributing technical and program leadership to ensure successful and predictable execution across hardware and software systems within distribution operations.
Key to your success will be your ability to foster strong partnerships with Core Team members, navigate cross-functional challenges, and champion a culture of empowerment and accountability. You’ll play a pivotal role in removing barriers, enabling decision-making, and driving momentum across the organization.
This is an on-site position (minimum 4 days per week) based at either our Memphis, TN or Woolwich, NJ distribution centers. This role will require 30% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Leads the planning and execution of large-scale automation initiatives across distribution operations, ensuring alignment from concept through deployment.
Navigates cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, IT, and external partners, to drive decision-making and resolve barriers to progress.
Oversees the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies to enhance automation capabilities and operational efficiency.
Guides the development of new methodologies, processes, and system designs that combine hardware and software components.
Supports feasibility assessments to ensure proposed solutions meet operational requirements and can be reliably implemented at scale.
Maintains program documentation and ensures traceability across all phases of solution development and deployment.
Coordinates with external suppliers, integrators, and consultants to align timelines, deliverables, and installation readiness.
May contribute to the evaluation and implementation of quality assurance practices related to automation systems and infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
OR
- An advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice To Have
Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field
PMP or similar project/program management certification
8+ years of experience managing large-scale, cross-functional engineering or automation programs
Experience delivering automation solutions in a global distribution or supply chain environment
Strong technical background in both hardware and software systems integration
Track record of successfully leading teams through complex technology designs and implementations
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Experience working with material handling vendors and integrators in automation projects
Familiarity with RFID, ASRS, AMR/AGV, Vision Systems, and other distribution automation technologies
Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to navigate and resolve cross-functional challenges quickly and effectively
Proven success in developing new methodologies, processes, or system designs for automation
Experience with feasibility studies, risk assessments, and economic analysis for new solutions
Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with experience in keeping large-scale projects on track
Ability to foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement within teams
Willingness to travel as needed between distribution centers and external partner sites
