Burrow Global is seeking an experienced Turnaround Project Controls Specialist III to oversee scheduling, planning, cost estimating, and budgeting for the upcoming major turnaround at our client's chemical manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient turnaround execution and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Duration: 12-month assignment onsite at client’s facility in La Porte, TX. No Per Diem is available on this position.
Shift Schedule: Candidates may choose between 4/10 or 9/80 shifts until turnaround commencement, followed by a 13/1 off, 12-hour shift schedule for the duration of the turnaround.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Operations/Maintenance teams to plan, schedule, and forecast costs for plant turnarounds.
- Implement cost management processes in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and upload project plans, estimates, schedules and budgets into SAP.
- Monitor and report on cost and schedule adherence during turnarounds.
- Coordinate with Contracts and Procurement for contractor reporting and contract language.
- Maintain milestone and activity dashboard for organized turnaround execution.
- Communicate turnaround schedules and updates to stakeholders regularly.
- Integrate turnaround work scope with capital and engineering project plans.
- Identify critical activities and potential risks to ensure timely mitigation planning.
- Provide daily updates to key stakeholders during turnaround execution.
- Support change management processes and cost forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in project management or construction management preferred.
- Project Management Professional Certification or AACE certification desired.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in scheduling, planning, cost estimating, and control in construction and turnarounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, SAP, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple turnaround events simultaneously and drive continuous improvement.
