Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate or Experienced Production Equipment Maintenance Technician - Automation (Level B or C) to support Production Equipment Maintenance Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable Shift!
The ideal selected candidate would be experienced in automation equipment maintenance, particularly in interpreting mechanical & electrical drawings, troubleshooting, and testing equipment to improve system uptime and reliability. Must demonstrate the knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices.
Position Responsibilities:
Repairs and maintains equipment and demonstrates experience in these areas.
Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Follows safety procedures and regulations.
Interprets basic schematics and diagrams.
Uses a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair equipment.
Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; solving malfunctions.
May provide guidance to less experienced employees.
May receive specialized equipment training.
Provides training to peers and customers on the general use of equipment.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
1+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
1+ years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters.
1+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
1+ years of experience in a customer facing role.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
3+ years of experience with automation systems maintenance, robotics systems, and various types of equipment controllers, such as Siemens 840D, Fanuc, and Allen Bradley.
3+ years of experience solving and operating PLCs (preferably Siemens and Allen Bradley).
3+ years of experience with laser tracking equipment used for machine alignment.
Typical Education / Experience:
Associate (Level B):
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Experienced (Level C):
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
