In pursuit of this mission, our Recruiting team is responsible for finding, assessing, and hiring exceptional talent across various fields and specialties. The team acts as consultative partners to our leaders across the organization, from technical managers up to our CEO, Sam Altman. We’re an established, collaborative team with a balance of structure, process, and ambitious problems to solve for.

About the role

This role is based in our San Francisco HQ office, but could be open to remote for exceptional candidates.

The Principal Recruiting Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the data and reporting functions for the recruiting team, as well as managing various projects to support the team's goals and objectives. This role involves working closely with the recruiting team, as well as cross-functional partners, to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to optimize recruiting operations.

This is a contingent position, and the pay for this role is $110.58/hour, up to 40 hours per week, and benefits will be available including health insurance and time off. We are targeting to onboard in February 2023.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the data and reporting functions for the recruiting team, including the development and maintenance of dashboards and metrics to track recruiting performance.
• Generate insight-based ideas and solutions that will drive efficiency and excellence across the recruiting organization
• Work with the recruiting team to prioritize opportunities for process improvement, and lead the implementation of initiatives to optimize recruiting operations.
• Manage the recruiting team's project portfolio, including the development of project plans, tracking of progress, and coordination of resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather data and insights that inform recruiting strategy and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws in all recruiting activities.
• Partner with the recruiting leadership team to inform, diagnose and improve how we recruit
• Proactively seek out ways to simplify processes and look for opportunities to leverage technology to scale

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in recruiting operations, project management, or a related field.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including experience with HRIS systems and Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from start to finish.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
