Brand Finance Team
The Brand Finance Team's defined Value is to partner on adding new value across our brands, today and tomorrow, to inspire change in business performance. This is achieved through being the finance business partners to our brands, being responsible for the financial components of
Game Plan and AOP development and challenging and supporting long term strategic planning.
Purpose
The Brand Finance Analyst participates in category and brand-oriented initiatives throughout the organization requiring direct collaboration with Marketing, Innovation, Supply, Commercial Divisions and other functional groups within Diageo who play active roles in crafting brand performance. You will partner with brand teams to craft plans for delivering key outcomes in both areas of current category brand performance and future strategic development. This position will provide decision support, analytics, and scenario modeling for evaluating opportunities and options in service of marketing mission to deliver a step change in effectiveness of growth drivers.
Functional Results include:
- Drive current brand performance processes to unlock deep insights into performance
- Turn takeaways from Business Driver Mix and other analyses to action
- Maintaining brand strategies within an overall Diageo North America portfolio strategy
- Embed critical thinking and a long-term vision creation to improve decision making on short-term investments
- Build brand 3-5 year plans, with P&L development
- A&P investment strategy and prioritization
- Maturation and export strategies for relevant brand categories
- 5 year participation strategy development and maintenance
- Contract management with third party brand partners
- Project decision support for major strategic organization initiatives
Experience
- Strong leadership skills and ability to engage and handle senior partners across the
- organization
- Effective communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are critical
- Consistent track record in strategic and financial analysis, driving insights into action, development of models and building presentations
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity
- Strategy and project management skills
- Standout colleague
- Consulting, investment banking, or consumer goods experience preferred
- Passion for the beverage alcohol industry
Complexity
Central to this role is building and sustaining strong working relationships throughout the organization, including influencing and driving alignment across functions and levels in the organization. The influence and building skill will be showcased through the requirement to work alongside senior leadership. The ability to build and promote strategic plans and undertake strategic analysis is critical to the role. Commercial experience deploying strategies within a business unit is helpful.
