About the Team
At DoorDash, our customers are at the center of our product strategy and we believe that an amazing customer experience is the key to our success. The Consumer team designs the mobile apps and website that millions of customers use every day to order meals and more from their favorite local merchants.
The Consumer Ad team connects two sides of our marketplace – letting Merchants and Brands introduce their products delightfully to consumers. We are looking to create a canvas for merchants to tell their unique stories and excite consumers about how their products will fit into their life.
About the Role
As a Staff Product Designer on the Consumer Ads team, you will be responsible for the end to end design and strategy for the team focused on designing the next generation of ad formats across Grocery, Retail and more. This role will spans across our business – you will leading how we make a great end-to-end promoted experience and ensure that it can scale across our consumer and ads systems.
You will report to the Head of Consumer Engagement Product Design in our Product Design organization. This role is a hybrid role with some time in-office and some time remote. We are looking for someone located near one of our tech hubs (SF Bay Area, Seattle, or New York).

- Contribute directly to DoorDash's consumer product strategy and define the future of our service.
- Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your Product Manager, Data Scientist and Engineering team to understand the opportunity, and then chart a path forward.
- Explore and refine your design solutions through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual design.
- Influence your team's approach to product development, shaping the team's culture, processes, and practices.
- Improve the lives of millions of DoorDash customers every day.

- You have 8+ years of work experience and a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to maintain a high bar for craft at scale and track record of leading new initiatives and delivering results in a team environment.
- You think of yourself as a craftsperson pushing the envelope on quality, usually find yourself sweating over the lowest level of details and deeply care about elevating the overall experience.
- You are an excellent storyteller and proactive communicator, and able to communicate complex topics in a clear, concise, and thorough way to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
