What You Will Do:
Columbus Forge Disks is looking for a Weekend Materials Supervisor (M2) to support the module center as part of the Nickel Powder Value Stream. The Weekend Materials Supervisor manage the weekend production control team and ensure the shop has material support. The Materials Supervisor will also provide feedback to the Delivery Assurance team as it relates to manufacturing inhibitors affecting customer delivery.
The Weekend Materials Supervisor maintains material organization on the shop floor and executes strategies that are directly related to the physical creation of products and the functional operation of the facilities.
The person in this role will report to the Senior Materials Manager, and will interact and collaborate with the Quality, Supply Chain Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Engineering, on a regular and frequent basis. The individual must embrace CORE, which is Pratt & Whitney’s Operating System; additionally, champion lean manufacturing and excel in a team environment with high-performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage production control team for the site inclusive of material handlers on AWW Weekend Shift.
Understand forecast / planned Customer demand, forecast / planned production supply, material available-to-promise analysis.
Reports out on Weekend Tier 4 meeting for FX and Delivery inclusive of recovery plans.
Must be available to work AWW Weekend Shift, which generally runs from 6:30AM – 6:30PM, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in an Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Program/Project Management, Operations Management, Quality or Supply Chain; OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience
In absence of a degree, we will also consider 6+ years of relevant industry experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
Degree in STEM Field.
Prior supervisory experience.
Specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
Experience with SAP and other IT Quality systems.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (CORE); Value Stream Mapping, 6S - Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance and Mistake Proofing.
