As a remote-first organization, our employees, like our customers, are based around the world. </p><h2>We want people who are passionate about enabling the teams they work with to effectively and efficiently deliver valuable products in line with the DO vision.</h2> <p>As the Senior Technical Program Manager in the Infrastructure organization, you will drive value delivery for a set of technical programs for one of our core teams. The teams currently hiring are:</p> <ul> <li>Data Center Operations</li> <li>Infrastructure Engineering</li> <li>Networking </li> </ul> <p>This individual will be an experienced cross-functional leader who champions continuous improvement and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They will apply technical literacy along with program management experience to navigate delivering on commitments as a leader on their team.</p> <p>In this role, you will partner with Product and Engineering leaders to drive the delivery of valuable, often complex, technical programs to achieve significant DO objectives. You will embody servant leadership to ensure efficient, effective value delivery. You will be a proactive collaborator at all times while driving consensus where needed and influencing decisions when teams are stuck.</p> <h2> <br/>What You'll Be Doing:</h2> <ul> <li>Drive value delivery for major technical programs including prioritization, planning, risk management, execution, and measurement of success</li> <li>Partner with Product and Engineering leaders throughout the life of the program on value delivery and process/practice improvements</li> <li>Build clear business cases to clarify scope and benefit of important DO initiatives</li> <li>Drive decision-making across multiple teams, stakeholders, and locations</li> <li>Set monthly, quarterly and yearly milestones to deliver roadmap objectives</li> <li>Effectively communicate to ensure program requirements, timelines, objectives, and expectations are understood and supported by internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Aid in resolving impediments, conflicts, demands, and priorities</li> <li>Proactively manage changes in scope.</li> <li>Work unplanned program issues to resolution, including the development of plans forward, escalation, and increased resources.</li> <li>Recognize risk and form mitigation plans as required</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement and develop effective, scalable, and sustainable ways of working</li> </ul> <h2><br/>What We'll Expect From You:</h2> <ul> <li>Proven track record for delivering cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment including planning, leading the resolution of blocking issues, and effective change management</li> <li>Ability to distil complex or technical concepts into clear, structured communications and action plans; technical savvy</li> <li>Ability to balance a detail- and process-oriented mindset with a focus on outcomes</li> <li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be personable yet persistent with authentic interpersonal interactions</li> <li>Ability to influence and work through others where direct reporting relationships do not exist</li> <li>You are truly a “do-er”, willing to get hands-on solving any problems needed to help the program move forward</li> <li>Excellent facilitation skills, with an orientation to look for areas of agreement, a down to earth approach to conflict management, and an ability to hear unvoiced concerns</li> <li>Ability to manage through change while maintaining focus on outcomes</li> <li>Experience working in both Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and waterfall-based environments</li> <li>Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence), in particular for managing the flow of value and delivering curated information to appropriate stakeholders</li> <li>Certifications preferred in Scrum, Agile, and/or Scaled Agile Framework</li> <li>Experience building business cases and launching major new initiatives preferred</li> <li>Experience working with external vendors preferred</li> <li>A growth mindset that prioritizes learning and improvement for yourself and the teams you work with</li> <li>Comfort with a remote-first way of working and culture</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Why You’ll Like Working for DigitalOcean:</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>We reward our employees</strong>.
