Cybersecurity Officer - Information Technology Div.

TxDOT is seeking a Cybersecurity Officer to serve as a key member of the Information Security team. He or she will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the agency cybersecurity operations center. This position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and leads the TxDOT 24/7 Cybersecurity Operations Center.

The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing and leading cybersecurity programs and environments; the prevention, detection and remediation of cybersecurity threats and intrusions; cybersecurity policies and monitoring protocols; and leading the development of a security plan, with an emphasis on technical infrastructure and long-term risk mitigation.

Work requires extensive contact with high-level executives, governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level work at the highest level of discretion and independent judgment and are responsible for final outcome.
