Clinical Adjunct Faculty - Anesthesiology

Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Adjunct Faculty in Anesthesia to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical instruction and supervision to students and residents in the Anesthesia program.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical instruction and supervision to students and residents in the Anesthesia program, including didactic instruction, simulation training, and clinical rotations
• Participate in the development and implementation of the Anesthesia curriculum, including course design, assessment, and evaluation
• Serve as a mentor and advisor to students and residents, providing guidance and support in their academic and professional development
• Participate in scholarly activities related to Anesthesia education, including research, presentations, and publications
• Maintain an active clinical practice in Anesthesia, providing direct patient care and serving as a role model for students and residents
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to provide comprehensive care to patients

Requirements:

• Doctoral degree in Anesthesia (MD or DO) from an accredited university
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Anesthesiologist in the state where services are provided
• At least five years of experience practicing Anesthesia, with demonstrated clinical competence and expertise
• Experience teaching and supervising students and residents in a clinical setting, preferably in an academic medical center
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in education, scholarship, and service
