Registered Nurse - Per Diem - Evening and Nights

Position: Registered Nurse – NorthShore Hospitals Centralized Resource Team

Location: NorthShore Hospitals:

• Evanston Hospital
• Glenbrook hospital
• Highland Park Hospital
• Skokie Hospital

Full Time/Part Time: Resource (per diem)

Hours: Option A: 120 hrs/6-week schedule: evening or night shift

Weekend Requirement: 36 hours minimum per 6-week schedule

Holiday Requirement:

• 1 major winter
• 1 major summer
• 1 minor celebratory

Travel Requirements: Travel amongst NorthShore Hospitals based on patient and team member needs is require

What you will need:

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ current experience in Med/Surg (with proficiency in telemetry is required) Critical Care, Emergency Room or Maternal Child Health

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
