The Opportunity
As the Contracts Senior Director, you will play a crucial role in partnering with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects. This includes managing a team of approximately 8-10 individuals, providing guidance, support, and leadership to drive performance and achieve objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing projects funded by USAID and traditional civilian agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality results. A key aspect of this role involves fine-tuning processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, you will collaborate with other leaders across the organization to develop and implement solutions to complex challenges. Your leadership will be instrumental in reviewing and executing documents when necessary, maintaining a strategic focus while also providing tactical support to the team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a strong commitment to excellence in contract management and team leadership.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, negotiation, and execution of business contracts to ensure they meet company policies and legal requirements.
- Lead the contracts team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure efficient and effective contract management processes.
- Implement and manage contract management tools, systems, and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as legal, finance, and procurement, to align contract terms with company strategies and risk management policies.
- Analyze contract performance and financial implications to provide strategic recommendations and optimize business opportunities.
- Facilitate dispute resolution related to contracts, working closely with legal counsel to mitigate risks and protect company interests.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external parties, including suppliers, partners, and customers, to ensure favorable contract terms and ongoing business collaboration.
- Conduct audits of existing contracts and oversee the renewal process, ensuring compliance with changing laws, regulations, and company objectives.
What We Value
- Bachelor’s Degree + 15 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + 12 years of relevant experience, or PhD + 10 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of all government contract types: T&M, FFP, CPFF, CPAF, IDIQ, BPA
- Experience with non-Federal clients: State and Local and Philanthropic agencies for funding.
- Experience with Federal clients (DHHS, CDC, EPA, DOEd, CMS, AHRQ)
- Superb communication skills, Excellent presentation skills, works well under pressure, manages tight deadlines

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $169,000 to $240,000 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
