Position Summary

The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach is responsible for specifically designated aspects of the men's basketball program, exercises independent judgment in providing technical expertise in the fundamentals of the sport, teaching student-athletes basic and advanced skills, and assisting the Head Men's Basketball Coach in management of the team through recruiting, program development, fund-raising, promotional activities, and related assigned responsibilities. The Assistant Coach guides and mentors student-athletes throughout the academic year.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in any relevant field of study. At least two years of experience in coaching at the intercollegiate level is strongly preferred, however, extensive player experience at the collegiate level can be substituted for the coaching experience. Coaching experience in a NCAA Division I level program is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions is also preferred.
