Job Description

  • Assist in maintaining laboratory compliance to GxP and DDI regulations; perform quarterly review of equipment logbooks to ensure compliance with GLP regulations;

  • Oversee and liaise with the VWR support staff to ensure proactive and adequate restocking of bench supplies (pipettes, tips, assay plates, etc.) for the laboratory scientists.

  • Manage and order laboratory supplies that are not stocked by VWR.

  • Enter reagents and Certificates of Analysis into the Mosaic electronic Lab Information Management System.

  • Coordinate and document pipette calibrations.For GxP labs, upload pipet calibration reports to CyberLAB repository.Link reports to Accelrys Symyx electronic lab notebook and ensure pipette owners have reviewed and signed off on the reports.

  • Assist laboratory managers in managing the maintenance of laboratory equipment.Perform routine maintenance when required.Coordinate with external vendors and ELIS project team to ensure periodic equipment maintenance and calibration is performed on time.

  • Remove & replace hazardous waste and sharps containers, when needed. Ensure proper PPE is worn by all personnel working in the labs.

  • Clean & disinfect biosafety hoods and 370C CO2 incubators per SOP requirements.

  • Monitor and maintain adequate liquid nitrogen levels for the liquid nitrogen freezers

  • Defrost lab freezers as scheduled.

  • Participate in laboratory process improvement and harmonization teams as assigned.

  • Assure GLP and DDI compliance with all work.

  • May participate in audits (internal compliance, QA system audits and Regulatory Authority inspections)

  • Act as a contact for Veriteq freezer/refrigerator alarm system; support after-hours alarm response team as scheduled.

Qualifications

  • The qualified candidate will have a BA/BS in biological sciences, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related scientific discipline.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • The candidate must be comfortable working in a matrix environment and could connect with different functional groups and people in multiple levels while embracing and driving change.

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
