Senior Product Manager - Launch Readiness

The Product Team at Motional creates the central vision for our autonomous vehicle fleet, working across the engineering, business development, and operations teams to design and deliver a product that is safe, reliable, and accessible for our passengers.

About this position:

As a Senior Product Manager for Launch Readiness, you will be at the forefront of bringing Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology to the public.  You will bring a blend of technical, operational, and user-centric thinking to ensure that our commercial service meets our product vision.  You will be responsible for testing new features, documenting performance, escalating issues, and working collaboratively on service improvements with both internal and external stakeholders.  

Our product managers are high-energy people that use superb interpersonal and communications skills to work across engineering, operations, commercial, and executive teams.  They bring a holistic view and leadership style and are considered a focal point in the organization.  Key to your success is your ability to marry creativity with analytics skills to create customer value and find a way to move things forward amid competing priorities.

This is a truly unique role in the AV industry where you will touch all aspects of Motional’s product experience and get to see the direct output of your work in a publicly available commercial service. You’ll be on the ground in our center of operations in Las Vegas contributing directly to the success of our commercial launch.  

What you’ll do:

• Be the voice of our internal and external customers to the rest of the organization, providing visibility into gaps in the experience and working cross-functionally to drive to solutions
• Verify that the experience we deliver to the end user meets Motional’s product vision through continuous on-the-road testing
• Provide feedback back to other product managers for continuous tool improvement and actionable engineering requests to address product gaps
• Partner with product managers across the company to translate intended functionality into standard operating procedures for Motional’s commercial service
• Partner with commercial and operations teams to align on launch criteria and timelines

• Excellent communication via verbal, presentation, and writing skills
• Proven ability to drive cohesion, collaboration, and decision making across different functions
• Comfort working with cross-functional, remote teams in multiple global locations
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in sciences or engineering
• 2+ years working in a product, engineering, or operational role

Bonus points (but not required):

• Experience in autonomous vehicle or robotics industry

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs. Salary Range$13,000—$174,500 USD
