Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an intern to join Collateral team under Investment & Trade Client Service Department. The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of investment industries, financial instruments, and derivatives concept. Collateral management knowledge will be an added advantage for the candidate.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Intern - Global Trade Services - Derivatives?

• Daily Margin call exchange with the brokers within the strict currency cut off deadline,

• Resolution of daily disputes with the FCM brokers by communicating with internal and external teams,

• Participation in daily online meetings with GTS sites located worldwide to discuss crucial topics so that FT provides high quality services and solutions,

• Driving for solutions by constantly looking at reducing risk and streamlining processes,

• Managing risk and prioritizing the workload effectively,

• Escalation of potential issues at earliest possible opportunity,

• Highlighting issues and reporting root cause and trends back to management,

• Performing other duties as assigned.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

• Current student status,

• Availability to work 25-30 hours per week,

• Fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written),

• Financial Market & Financial Products Knowledge,

• Derivatives & Collateral Management Knowledge will be added advantage,

• Computer skills with experience working in a Windows environment,

• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for details,

• Utilizing Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables) for data analysis,

• Experience with VBA would be a plus,

• Very good organizational skills,

• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines,

• Self-reliance and self-discipline at work,

• Good communication skills and ability to effectively tailor communication with a diverse range of business partners.
