POSITION SUMMARY
SoLa Impact is looking for a Director of Social Impact who has an authentic passion for SoLa Impact’s mission with a heartfelt commitment to the communities we serve. The Director will oversee all operational and administrative functions of Social Impact and will build and lead a team of passionate and committed professionals. This individual will work in partnership with the Chief Impact Officer to develop strategies for implementing the organization's mission and vision through values-aligned partnerships, projects, and programs. The successful candidate will cultivate strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders while building and sustaining relationships with SoLa communities, centering and elevating the voices of those most impacted, and ensuring that SoLa is informed, engaged, and responsive to community issues.

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set, monitor, and achieve programmatic, financial, and impact performance goals
- Be a key driver of strategic planning processes, conducting needs assessments of current operating models and programming in support of Chief Impact Officer
- Oversee the development, execution, and management of relationships with strategic partners across sectors, including community, corporate, education, and government
- Review performance with individual team members to assist in their development and growth
- Oversee SoLa Scholarship application process and Scholars awards ceremony;
- Lead Youth Mentorship Program with Social Impact Manager;
- Drive development and implementation of I CAN programs to increase the engagement of South LA youth through new partnerships, shared measures of success, networked grant initiatives, and continuous re-tooling for maximum impact;
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree required;
- 4+ years of successful experience as Executive Director, Associate Director, or Senior leader of a nonprofit organization, educational institution, or Private Equity firm
- Experience with social impact and/or public good program development or campaigns preferred;
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
- Ability to interact with a broad spectrum of constituencies, including donors, investors, community leaders, nonprofit/education representatives, board members, staff, youth, parents and volunteers;
- Ability to steward relationships with people from diverse backgrounds;
- Well-developed time management skills to manage multiple priorities;
- Ability to present information in a concise and easily understood manner;
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment;
- Organized, proactive/self-starter, creative, detail-oriented, critical thinker
- Experience with CRM and data management a plus;
