About the role: 

The Business Immigration Project Manager will be part of the US Client Services Manager (CSM) team but will work closely under the Operations team. The CSM team is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the firm’s multi-jurisdiction clients – including but not limited to developing relationships with key client stakeholders, writing and maintaining client-specific case management protocols or process documents, troubleshooting issues, supporting country-specific case teams and working closely with the firm’s partners and Operation lead. The Operations team is responsible for ensuring there are clear, efficient and standardized processes and work standards in place within a case team for the management and professional delivery of the team’s work that also aligns with the team’s data and reporting program.  The Operations team oversees the business-as-usual data and reporting integrity for the team.  With the support of the regional Operations team, this will include the creation, amendment, and review of new and current team processes, alignment of those processes with the firm, and implementation of firm standards across the team while facilitating core team requirements, maintenance of the team’s process documents, maintaining training materials and resources, and assist with ad hoc projects.


The Business Immigration Project Manager has three primary functions:

Firstly, the person will work with the CSM team to understand the team's needs, identifying current issues preventing efficient work for that team and individual clients. The person will resolve those issues and create and implement new and standardized processes/resources/reference material to prevent future issues and increase efficiency. This requires working with colleagues across the firm, particularly in corporate functions. The person will also serve as a liaison for ensuring CSMs are aligned with team standards and adhering to the standards as well as setting up team-wide trainings. Furthermore, the person will also be highly involved in ensuring data integrity and help lead some of the team’s business-as-usual data and audit projects.


Secondly, the Business Immigration Project Manager will act as the point of contact for any standardization initiatives that may impact current client-specific protocols and, where possible, introduce best practices to further standardize the management of multi-jurisdiction clients. Excellent communication is crucial to ensuring clarity, accuracy, and efficiency for all involved.


Finally, the Business Immigration Project Manager will assist the Operations team with leading the team’s onboarding training schedule for new team members, ensuring that the training resources are maintained and capture consistent practices across all sub-teams, and leading data integrity audits and training. This includes developing and enhancing training materials used team-wide and maintaining teamwide resources.


Change management is key in this role and will be required to implement, embed and adapt new processes created within the team.

How will you make a difference as a Business Immigration Project Manager at Fragomen?

  • In conjunction with the CSM Partner and Leadership team develop best practices that will assist with standardizing the management of multi-jurisdiction clients.
  • Consult with CSMs as needed on the impact of the US Operations Team's office-specific or region-wide initiatives. This will include recommending changes to client-specific protocols or processes and following best practice principles that align with the client’s immigration program and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the relevant Partner and Leadership Team to support the growth of the Practice by adapting the work process accordingly, assisting in defining job roles and responsibilities distribution of client responsibilities and workload
  • Actively assist with the team’s onboarding of new hires' training schedule and training materials and resources.
  • Identify issues on the team and create resolutions working with the case team and central business operations efficiency team
  • In conjunction with the relevant team members, and the US Operations Team to implement new or amended processes for particular clients; creating an implementation plan, embedding changes (test and integrate), maintaining process implementation (review and analyze), and setting up controls such as Issues log, feedback log and regular process reviews are in place.
