We are seeking an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic Leader with expertise in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating electronic controls for high-pressure boilers, refrigeration units, and air compressor systems. Leading a team of mechanics, the role involves overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of control systems while ensuring operational efficiency.

Compensation:

  • $40.79 - $47.62 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide supervision to WG-11/12 Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanics.
  • Assign and prioritize tasks, offering technical guidance and support in problem-solving.
  • Inspect work to ensure safety and operational readiness before systems are handed over for use.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate electronic controls for high-pressure boilers, refrigeration units, and air compressor systems.
  • Use Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for troubleshooting and retrieving alarm data.
  • Repair and maintain electronic precision measurement equipment such as Preferred Rimcor and Allen Bradley systems for boiler controls, and Andover 256 and Bentley Nevada systems for chiller controls.
  • Lead teams in the installation and modification of complex electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot microprocessors, integrated circuits, and solid-state circuits to identify and resolve system defects.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, including the use of protective gear and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Attend meetings and assist in developing standard work plans, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Manage resources and staff allocation, including shift coverage, overtime, and emergency response efforts.
  • Participate in budget planning for equipment, maintenance, and training needs.
  • Identify and coordinate training needs for team members, ensuring they meet technical and regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and address performance and safety concerns.

Requirements
 
  • Proven experience leading a team of industrial control mechanics in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electronic control systems in utility plants or industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and electronic schematics, engineering drawings, and logic diagrams.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting difficult-to-locate defects in industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and electronic precision measurement equipment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently, with occasional handling of heavier items.
  • Willingness to work in industrial settings with exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, and potential hazards.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
