Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding Physician Assistant - Trauma and Acute Surgery to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Opportunity Details:
- Operative procedures, patient rounding or consults, and responding to trauma resuscitations.
- Assists in robotic-assisted surgery for all Trauma/Acute Care surgery patients.
- Assists in surgery and performs minor surgical procedures, such as suturing and wound care and other procedures.
- Direct patient care as well as assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, patient diagnosis, prescribing medications and treatment.
- Provides patient education, assists in the operation of outpatient Trauma and/or other General Surgery clinics, as needed.
- Will assist in SICU, as needed.
- Will assist Pediatric Surgery Division, as needed for Pediatric Trauma patients.
- Records accurate patient notes and treatment plans in the Electronic Medical Record.
- Attends weekly staff conferences and daily morning report.
Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the NCCPA
- Licensed to practice in New York State
- DEA prescribing license
- ACLS, ATLS, BLS,PALS certification or eligible to obtain
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $127,308* - $169,744* based on 40-hour work week and years of state licensure.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $140,038** - $186,718**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
