The People & Culture team at Sendbird is committed to creating an engaging environment that enables employees to perform at their fullest potential. We're seeking a People, Development, and Experience (PD&E) Partner (commonly referred to as HRBP in other organizations) to join our growing global team.

Based in our San Mateo office, you will report directly to the Senior PD&E Partner and serve as the primary PD&E contact for the U.S. HQ as well as our London team. You will work closely with business leaders to co-lead strategies that enable team and organizational growth, with high ownership expected across the employee lifecycle.

Candidates must be able to participate in a 3-day-per-week hybrid schedule onsite in our San Mateo-based office.

What You’ll Do

  • Support or lead the delivery of core talent programs, including performance reviews, compensation cycles, engagement surveys, promotions, and career development planning.
  • Co-develop and evolve people initiatives such as goal-setting practices, feedback culture, and succession planning.
  • Partner with managers and employees on a range of topics, including performance, employee relations, recognition, compensation, and first-tier investigations.
  • Assess organizational needs and support the design and delivery of learning & enablement programs — including our first-ever manager development program.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, foster trust, and promote team productivity and cohesion.
  • Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams by establishing regular communication and driving alignment on People priorities.
  • Actively contribute to the People & Culture roadmap, creating “moments that matter” throughout the employee journey and embedding our values into everyday practices.

What You Bring to the Table

  • B.A./B.S. degree and typically 8–14 years of progressive HR/People experience.
  • Proven experience across key HR domains: performance management, employee relations, learning & development, compensation, and change management.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently manage programs or lead broader initiatives depending on level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver people programs that inform, engage, and inspire.
