About the Role

Cloudflare is looking for a Sr. Public Relations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in every aspect of Cloudflare’s overall communications program with a special focus on our security offerings, thought leadership, and technology innovation.

You’ll work with many teams at Cloudflare, helping to find and build out stories that help move the needle for us as a brand and as a company. You will drive communications for pivotal product launches and security announcements to educate the market on Cloudflare’s technology. You’re an expert storyteller and thrive on telling compelling security stories to vertical and mainstream audiences. You’re used to working with technical teams and able to break down complex technologies and distill them into high-impact PR campaigns and coverage. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with a range of product and engineering leaders and will work closely with our executives to craft bylines, press releases, speaking submissions/talks, and media material. You’ll also lead these activities with our global PR agencies. As a rapidly-growing public company, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Communications team and to help continue building Cloudflare’s story.

Requirements 

• Experience working in technology/product communications and/or public relations (prefer a combination of PR agency and in-house experience). 
• Deep experience working with technology, business, and security trade media
• Experience collaborating effectively on major initiatives with C-Level executives and stakeholders across multiple teams including Marketing, Partnerships, Sales, Policy, Legal, Product, Security, and Engineering
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills—you thrive on the details and the big picture too
• Ability to identify trending security topics/stories and communicate them in a unique way to a variety of audiences
• Creative, hardworking, and flexible professionalism—you are able to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment 
• A can-do "make it happen" attitude. You love doing what it takes to get things done
• Ability to operate independently and as a team in “the trenches”—we’re a dynamic team and everyone pitches in to get the job done
• Experience working with international teams, or on global PR campaigns/announcements 
• Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and communicate priorities effectively
• A curious attitude and a team player who thrives on raising the bar 

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

• For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $131,000 - $161,000.
• For New York City-based and California (excluding Bay Area) and Washington hires: Estimated annual salary of $150,000 - $184,000.
• For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $158,000 - $194,000.
