Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedics to join our team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The Surgical Physician Assistant or Surgical Nurse Practitioner is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Surgical Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
In this role, you will join a group of NPs & PAs who support orthopedic fellowship trained physicians. You will rotate between assisting in the OR, Clinic, and Inpatient rounding duties.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
For Nurse Practitioner's - Completion of a master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from an nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice.
For Physician Assistant's - Master’s or Baccalaureate degree. Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors. Successful completion of the national certifying examination and current certification given by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
