Role:


We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Manager to handle global payroll processes and related accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a growing organization, helping to mature processes, implement systems, and handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. As an early member of our team, your contributions will play a critical role in building the payroll process and systems of the company.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Payroll Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of global payroll transactions, including salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions.  Manage various  payroll systems and software.  Process payroll updates for new hires, terminations, bonuses, potentially commissions, and changes to pay rates.   Calculate and manage taxes, including federal, state, and local income taxes, social security, and unemployment taxes.   Manage, working with outside parties as appropriate, all notices from various local, state, federal agencies. 
  • Compliance:  Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax laws, and employment laws. Prepare and file/work with outsource provider(s) regarding payroll reports and returns.  Collaborate with auditors and manage payroll related audits. 
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.  Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including reports for internal use and external reporting requirements.  Record payroll accounting entries, reconcile payroll accounts and balance payroll transactions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the People Operations and Finance teams on various payroll-related items. Serve as the point of contact for payroll related questions from employees. Work with auditors and external parties as needed.

Qualifications/Skills:


  • Proven Experience: At least 7 years of payroll administration, including managing the end to end function, preferably including supervisory experience.
  • Payroll Systems Expertise: Has familiarity with various payroll softwares and ideally possesses experience implementing a payroll system at an organization greater than 400 employees with a mix of domestic employees, international employees, exempt/non-exempt, and international. 
  • Time management skills:  Clear understanding of and ability to manage payroll deadlines.
  • Analytical Skills:  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll systems and software, including experience with common payroll software packages.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compliance Skills: Strong understanding of global, federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations. Ability to maintain compliance documentation and handle payroll audits.
