About the role

As the Junior Network Engineer, the individual will perform network configuration and troubleshooting tasks.

Reports to and receives direction from the Government and Prime Contractor Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Installs, configures, and supports LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VoIP systems
  • Provides hands- on support to project that involve networks
  • Supports networking or VoIP systems and monitoring security events, correlation, and daily event reporting
  • Monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources across multiple enclaves utilizing software and hardware tools
  • Works with other engineers and administrators in support of networking related projects
  • Escalation point for Tier 2 NOC issues for over 400 CONUS and OCONUS military sites.
  • Provides in depth troubleshooting of Ethernet/DS3/NxT1 circuits.
  • Assists with installation, movement, upgrades, and disposals of computer hardware and software products.
  • Assists other SME's in planning network changes/upgrades in efforts to expand USARC WAN footprint.
  • Provides day-to-day subject matter expert support
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC Edge and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain Secret Security Clearance
  • Must possess Security+ Certification or DoD 8570 certified at IAT Level II/IAM Level III or higher
  • Network+ or CCNA certification, desired
  • ITIL 4 Foundation, desired
  • Minimum of 1 or more years of experience
