Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Project Manager - Aviation to be based in Dallas, TX.

• Administer one or more projects, to include responsibility for budget, schedule and quality adherence and performance in accordance with the contract documents and established procedures.
• Oversee all design and construction support activities for each assigned project.
• Manage, coordinate and supervise the project team, which may consist of one or more Project Managers, Design Managers, Construction Managers, Construction Coordinators and other support staff as necessary.
• Ensure the coordination of all project activities with airport tenants, airlines, client departments, governmental and other agencies.
• Proactively resolve issues to minimize client exposure.
• Proactively work to avoid claims and resolve claims expeditiously to minimize client exposure.
• Prepare and submit to senior management and/or client monthly report(s) detailing the progress, accomplishments, issues and current status of the project.
• Provide documentation as required by client for the administration and execution of each project.
• Review and concur in the proposed settlement of change orders, claims and revisions to the design and/or construction scope, schedule and budget.
• Assist client as requested in the development of RFQ’s and RFP’s and provide support as requested during the procurement process.
• Evaluate and provide recommendations to client for changes and/or modifications to the design consultant and construction contractor scope of services.
• Lead (or approve) the negotiation of design and construction phase services, consultant fees and change orders, and provide documentation, and recommend acceptance by client.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 10 years of experience managing airfield projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• CCM or PMP Certification or ability to attain in 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:

• Civil PE license preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project or Construction Management
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience managing airfield projects of similar size, type and complexity
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA-cleared badge at client
• Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license and be able to obtain a certification to drive in the AOA movement area
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
