Description
The Division of Critical Care within the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a board certified/board eligible pediatric intensivist for a faculty position at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone Health. This individual will join a group of 16 intensivists and 6 advanced care providers to provide coverage in our 20-bed critical care unit, with the capacity to do extracorporeal life support and renal replacement therapies. We have a fellowship program established in 2021 with one fellow per year. We work collaboratively with respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and nursing, as well as our medical and surgical subspecialists to provide collaborative, family centered care. We have comprehensive representation of the medical and surgical subspecialties, caring for a broad range of patients. Our group also provides coverage to the Bellevue Hospital Center PICU, a 7-bed unit that supports a Level 2 trauma center as well as multiple medical and surgical specialties. The Bellevue team includes 10 advanced care providers. Responsibilities in addition to comprehensive clinical care include teaching of fellows, medical students and pediatric residents, and participation in hospital-related administrative, research and/or quality improvement initiatives.

Salary Range:
$260,000-270,000
The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, possess outstanding clinical skills, and be committed to participating in fellow, resident and medical student education, as well as scholarly activities.
