Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain the operation of the buildings.

Essential Functions
-Lights and nurse call lights are replaced, beds repaired, temperature control devices are adjusted, sinks and toilets are maintained in working order and other repairs are completed per established guidelines.
-Painting services are completed per established guidelines.
-Documentation reflects repairs, replacement parts and adjustments as per department and regulatory guidelines.
-Preventative maintenance program is established and maintained per established timeframes.
-Trucks and other mechanical equipment are operated and maintained in safe and serviceable condition.
-Emergency and routine repairs are responded to within department timeframes and meet regulatory requirements.
-Assistance is provided to the various trades in the installation, maintenance or basic repair of equipment, piping, electric, HVAC systems, and snow removal per department standards.
-Customer service and quality improvement efforts are supported with active participation to meet established goals.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials
Massachusetts Driver's license

Related experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be knowledgeable of safe maintenance practices, procedures, and guidelines.
- Effective verbal, electronic and written communications skills using the English language.
- Office Computer proficiency is required. Microsoft office applications are preferred with ability to learn new software.
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with broad populations.
- High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
