The Sr. HR Specialist will support critical WW Grocery Stores (WWGS) programs and initiatives with a primary focus transfers and subsidiary partnerships. The role will require you to establish foundational knowledge of operational processes and associate experiences within the business.

As a HR specialist, the incumbent should share a passion for process and operational improvement, and a track record of delivering results to better serve customers. The right candidate will have expertise in either process improvement, program/project management, or HR generalist functions.
The role requires collaboration between teams across Amazon with professionals at all levels. The Sr. HR Specialist will need excellent communication skills, ability to support a diverse portfolio of work, experience collecting business requirements, and conducting change management in order to implement and improve processes. This role requires a passion for experimentation, knack for analytics, and ability to scrutinize data to make conclusions leading to improvements in associate experiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Ability to support defined projects and competing priorities with guidance across a diverse set of stakeholders
- Ability to pivot support and focus when necessary to help cover HR tasks as they arise
- Support projects ranging from continuous improvement, standard work, HR integration, and associate scheduling
- Perform hands on project management such as scheduling and planning, monitoring and status reporting against planned deliverables, benefits and milestones, resource and program tracking
- Support on projects through planning, development, launch, stabilization, and close
- Support on-going efforts to enhance our capabilities through training, development, and program improvements
- Engage directly with HR and Operations leaders to understand business needs for supporting a flexible workforce
- Communicate and train the future state processes to operators and users of the new processes
- Measure outcomes and outputs of projects and process improvement endeavors.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams

The WWGS PXT Program Team is a consolidation of the project and program functions across the WWGS PXT Team. PXTP supports PXT leaders across the total five business lines in the organization. We support our vision by being the “solution engine” for WWGS PXT enabling line PXT to be better business partners and frugally scale with the business. We collaborate with line PXT and central service teams to deliver differentiation for customer facing businesses while ensuring experience parity where it makes sense; standardize where possible and customize as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience working in a matrixed organization
- Coaching and consulting skills
- Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analysis, experience consulting on complex performance management cases
- Possess conviction and tenacity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thrives in a high-pressure, ambiguous environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
- Intellectual curiosity; brings insight to team and business
- Ability to demonstrate high-judgement, empathy, autonomy, and flexibility
