About the role

Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Program Trainer to deliver the Clean Jobs Curriculum in correctional facilities. This role will focus on both bridge and job-specific training components aimed at preparing participants for entry-level roles in the clean energy sector. The ideal candidate will utilize interactive, hands-on learning methods and demonstrate flexibility to accommodate facility constraints. A certification in solar, HVAC, or other relevant clean energy fields is required, along with experience in instructional design for adult learners, particularly in confined or correctional settings.


**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver the Clean Jobs Curriculum in correctional facilities, ensuring comprehensive coverage of both bridge and job-specific training components.
- Implement interactive and hands-on learning methods tailored to the needs of participants and the constraints of the facility.
- Prepare participants for entry-level roles in the clean energy sector by providing skill-based, certification-focused training.
- Assess participants’ learning needs and adapt training approaches to facilitate effective understanding and skill acquisition.
- Develop and refine instructional materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Monitor and evaluate participant progress, providing constructive feedback to support skill development.
- Collaborate with correctional facility staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clean energy trends and certification requirements to inform training content.
- Foster a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and collaboration among learners.

Requirements

- Certification to deliver training in solar, HVAC, or other relevant clean energy fields.
- Proven experience in instructional design, particularly for adult learners in confined or correctional settings.
- Strong understanding of the clean energy sector and workforce development trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse learners.
- Ability to adapt training methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles and facility constraints.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training sessions simultaneously.
