Job Description
This role is responsible to support the different roles from the prototype, lab and operations organization focused in the following areas:
- Project Management: Supporting Sample PJM and Validation & Equipment Coordinator with planning and execution of tasks for the ongoing internal and external projects,
- Samples Coordination: Support with the preparation activities for the planning, build and delivery of the samples as well as the different steps for procurement of material and improvement projects.
- Lab Operations: Support with on-demand activities to ensure the proper operation of the prototype and testing lab including audits walk-through, material procurement, coordination of activities to ensure compliance with our H&S requirements.
Additional activities for this role are the evaluation and implementation of processes improvements for all areas of the team.
Tasks
Project Management Activities
- Execution of purchases for indirect material as support of activities for the entire ENV/EOP department.
- Support with preparation of the documentation, follow up and reporting status for the Capital Expenditure purchases for the ENG organization.
- Support to ship & receive material for the ENV/EOP organization and ensure items are followed up to closure until are received to the intended person.
- Responsible for the physical asset tagging of the capitalized assets as well as maintaining control lists for purchases, expenses, and assets for the department.
Sample Coordination/PJM Activities
- Responsible to perform the involved steps for procurement of prototype material as per guidance of the responsible coordinator.
- Support the phases of the prototype process with cost calculation, risk evaluation, timing, problem solving, and documentation based on guidance from the project responsible.
- Support the logistics of shipping and receiving components and finished products for processing of customer deliveries.
- Supporting with parts cycle counts to ensure accuracy of physical inventory versus stated in our system.
- Leading small internal projects for process improvement or lab
- Process and customize data for KPI reporting to the organization.
- Documentation and update of processes and training material for the AS organization related to samples.
Lab Operations Related Activities
- Lead internal walk-through, audits and 5’s for lab and offices and ensure compliance with our H&S baselines and cleanliness for the working areas.
- Support and/or lead review meetings with other internal Bosch areas to ensure compliance from our processes in terms of Health & Safety, IT services.
- Coordinate together with the Lab ENG any needed step to ensure equipment is calibrated, repaired and we have maintained a proper bank of spare parts for equipment repair.
- Direct link with our internal and external suppliers to ensure Lab needs are fulfilled, activities may include requesting quotes, supporting PO creation, coordination for time execution and confirm proper invoicing.
Qualifications
- Ability to work 30 - 40 hours per week.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university.
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the engineering field with at least one semester completed.
- Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Ability to work with intercultural and virtual teams
- Open minded and communicative
- Willingness to work independently in a given framework
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Project management experience including planning and execution of multi-year project timelines
- Ability to manage multiple
