What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Systems Engineer at identifeye HEALTH, you will play a key role in ensuring system-level performance and reliability of our product. You will lead the overall design of system architecture during the product development and release process, working in close collaboration with our multidisciplinary team of engineers to drive requirements from conception through successful launch.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Lead requirements definitions, coordination of different stakeholders such as engineering and product teams, work processes, testing and evaluation, reliability/quality considerations, logistics and system maintainability  
  • Facilitate the successful system/product design, development, implementation, and release of the identifeye camera
  • Own system architecture, requirements management, risk analysis, and system V&V, from design conception to launch 
  • Design and execute experiments to characterize system performance
  • Lead cross functional failure investigations and drive root cause identification. Make recommendations on design, test, or requirement improvements, drive implementation through our CAPA process.
  • Develop plans and execute testing at the component, integration and system design verification level. Lead system V&V planning, execution, data analysis and documentation.
  • Follow medical device design and development processes to allow traceability and team-wide collaboration
  • Understand and communicate to the team cost and performance tradeoffs of implementing new features or changing existing requirements
  • Implement systems engineering best practices to support company goals and timelines
  • Participate in generating new intellectual property for the company

What We Are Looking For

Baseline Skills, Experiences, & Attributes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years applicable experience within development of medical devices
  • Systems engineering and integration experience (integrating all system components - electrical, mechanical, software), system architecture, requirement/user need gathering, end-to-end (ideation to commercialization) product development experience, and system-level verification
  • Experience implementing reliability and robustness engineering methodologies, including boundary diagramming, DFMEA, root cause analysis, and statistical methods
  • Strong system level understanding integrating electromechanical systems, optics, and imaging
  • Team and goal oriented while embracing shared values and being excited about team’s mission to democratize healthcare
  • Must be able to work onsite daily in our Guilford, CT off
