Business Development Manager | EMEA
EBANXAbout the role
EBANX is the leading payment platform connecting global companies with customers from the fastest-growing digital markets in the world.
Since the beginning of our journey, we’ve had one mission: to provide global access for everyone. We believe that transforming challenges into opportunities — and making the impossible part of the journey — is essential to innovation. That’s why we built a payment technology that creates daily connections between people and businesses in 29 high-growth markets across the globe.
We call ourselves ebankers — global thinkers, diversity advocates, creativity champions, and hard workers — all united by the mission of connecting businesses and people through payments. Ready to make history with us?
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our expansion efforts across the EMEA region. In this role, you will engage with enterprise-level merchants in digital goods, e-commerce, and marketplaces, delivering tailored payment solutions that elevate their international presence. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and product teams to drive scalable and sustainable growth in EMEA.
Your key responsibilities will include:
-
Identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with enterprise merchants, expanding EBANX’s footprint and revenue in the EMEA region.
-
Building and executing strategic plans to penetrate new verticals, countries, and customer segments.
-
Proactively generating leads, conducting market research, and developing strong relationships with key decision-makers.
-
Driving adoption of our payment solutions by positioning EBANX as the preferred partner for international expansion.
-
Collaborating with internal teams (product, marketing, customer success, risk, legal, and finance) to ensure seamless execution and client onboarding.
-
Negotiating commercial agreements, pricing, and service terms that align with business goals and deliver long-term value.
-
Monitoring sales pipeline progression and performance metrics using Salesforce.com.
-
Sharing market intelligence and feedback with leadership to shape strategy, improve sales cycles, and fine-tune our go-to-market approach in the region.
-
Staying on top of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the payments landscape.
-
Representing EBANX with professionalism, energy, and a passion for building lasting strategic partnerships.
What you'll need to succeed:
-
Proven experience in business development or strategic sales with global enterprise accounts, with a minimum of 5 years in the Payments Industry.
-
A strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
-
Deep knowledge of the merchant payment ecosystem (payment processing, e-commerce platforms), regional market dynamics, and merchant pain points.
-
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to close complex deals and present to senior stakeholders.
-
Demonstrated ability to generate and accelerate deal pipelines.
-
Analytical mindset with a keen eye for data-driven decision-making.
-
Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
-
Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management abilities.
-
Must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel across EMEA (up to 50%).
