The Role
AspenTech’s Digital Grid Management (DGM) organization is looking for an Associate Software Developer to contribute to the development of the Web Integrations & Management™ products within the DGM Web team. AspenTech’s Web Integrations & Management™ products are a collection of web-based applications that assist users in the configuration, deployment, and management of AspenTech’s DGM software. We are seeking a motivated entry-level Associate Software Developer to join our innovative Research and Development organization. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and experienced Software Engineers to design, develop, and maintain the application in a collaborative environment while contributing to high-impact projects.Your Impact
- Develop and enhance web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, TypeScript).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to implement features and functionality aligned with business and user needs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; actively participate in design and code reviews.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize both front-end and back-end application performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation for codebases, workflows, and development best practices.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, web development trends, and industry best practices.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming with languages like Java and/or C#.
- Proficiency with web development tools and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Exposure to web frameworks and libraries such as Angular, React, or jQuery.
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
